An easy hot dish you can make the night before.

2 c. macaroni, uncooked
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1/2 medium onion, chopped
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups cubed cooked chicken
2 cups milk
1 4 oz can mushroom pieces and stems, drained

Combine all ingredients in a large covered casserole. Place in fridge overnight or several hours before baking. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove the lid and bake for 1/2 hour more. Serve over chow mien noodles.
